Summary
Receives and pays out money and keeps records of money and negotiable instruments involved in financial transactions. Answers and resolves incoming phone calls. Knowledgeable of bank products and services. Assures compliance with all Bank policies and procedures, as well as all applicable state and federal banking regulations.Essential Duties
Provides SUPERIOR CUSTOMER SERVICE as outlined in our Service Standards. Embraces our TEAMWORK VALUES. Works to maintain customer relationships that span generations. Maintains customer confidence and protects Bank Customers and the Bank by keeping information confidential, gaining customer trust and respect. Receives checks and cash for deposit, verifies amount, and examines checks for endorsements. Enters customers' transactions into computer to record transactions. Processes account maintenance. Cashes checks and pays out money, within Cash-out Policy and personal Cash-Out Limits, after verification of signatures and customer balances. Places holds on accounts for uncollected funds in accordance with policy. Receives and processes telephone transfers, stop payments, change of address, change orders, loan payments and wire transfer orders. Balances currency, coin, and checks in cash drawer at end of shift and compares totaled amounts with data from teller terminal.May serve as Vault Teller:- Maintains supply of coin and currency for the entire branch. Prepares money for shipment.Balances the Vault. Verifies incoming and outgoing cash.Practices safety and soundness when handling cash.Prepares Branch Recap report and submits to Data Processing accurately and in a timely manner.
Researches and solves ATM and/or debit card questions. Balances and replenishes ATM. Handles online banking setup, maintenance, questions and password resets. Resolves posting errors. Is capable of opening and closing the branch on their own. Can open personal and business checking, savings and certificates of deposit. Responsible for successfully completing training on compliance for deposit regulations. Responsible for following Bank Procedures and Policies, including Privacy Policy, Network Security Policy and Personal Computer Policy. Explains, promotes or recommends products or special products and services such as Money Market accounts, bankcards, installment loans, IRAs and safe deposit boxes. Works with Branch Team to develop stronger customer relationships and strategies to meet branch goals. Supervisory Requirement

The incumbent for this position may operate any or all of the following: telephone, copy and fax machines, adding machine (calculator), check protector, scanner and image systems, microfilm equipment, encoder, money counter, credit card terminal, typewriter, computer terminal, laptop computer, personal computer and related printers, or other equipment as directed.
