Nicole Montgomery Joins State Bank Northwest as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

State Bank Northwest is pleased to announce that Nicole Montgomery has joined the bank as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Montgomery brings deep experience in financial strategy, balance sheet management, asset liability management, liquidity and capital planning, enterprise risk management, forecasting, internal controls, and team leadership within regulated financial institutions.

Montgomery's career highlights include leadership roles in community banking, financial consulting, public accounting, treasury, risk management, compliance, technology, and strategic planning:

  • Maneh Consulting, LLC: Founded and led a consulting firm serving financial institutions ranging from $250 million to $1 billion in assets, advising on technical accounting, regulatory, risk management, strategic, and internal control matters.
  • Community 1st Bank: Served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, overseeing finance, accounting, treasury, risk management, compliance, technology, systems integration, and operations while supporting asset growth from approximately $70 million to $145 million.
  • Washington Trust Bank: Served as Senior Financial Accountant, leading technical accounting research, financial and regulatory analysis, accounting modeling, projections, reporting recommendations, capital raise support, and internal control documentation.
  • Moss Adams, LLP: Served as Senior Manager, managing audit and consulting relationships for private and publicly traded financial institutions with assets ranging from $22 million to $4.5 billion.

Montgomery is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Washington and Idaho. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business with a double major in Professional Accounting and Finance from Eastern Washington University and is a 2014 graduate of the Pacific Coast Banking School.

An Idaho native deeply rooted in the community, Montgomery resides in Post Falls with her husband and three children. She enjoys everything the Inland Northwest lifestyle has to offer and demonstrates her commitment to continuous improvement as a dedicated Ironman athlete.
