Under the TAG program, through December 31, 2010, all noninterest-bearing transaction accounts* are fully guaranteed by the FDIC for the entire amount in the account. The definition of noninterest-bearing transaction accounts includes Interest on Lawyers Trust Accounts (and functionally equivalent accounts) and low-interest NOW accounts (defined as NOW accounts with interest rates no higher than 0.25 percent). Coverage under the Transaction Account Guarantee Program is in addition to and separate from the coverage available under the FDIC's general deposit insurance rule.

*Accounts currently covered under the Transaction Account Guarantee Program include “My State Bank”: Free Checking, Direct Free Checking, TAG Personal NOW, TAG Business NOW, Free Business Checking, and Analyzed Business Checking. The Board of Directors has declared that the interest on these accounts will not be above .25% APY.
